The Juvenile Crimes Division is responsible for the prosecution of delinquent and incorrigible children between the ages of eight (8) and eighteen (18). "Delinquent" acts are misdemeanor or felony offenses while "incorrigible" acts are status offenses such as truancy or curfew violations.
The Division has three bureaus:
- Eastside Trial Bureaus A & B
Located at the Mesa Juvenile Facility. Responsible for prosecuting cases where the crime occurs east of Central Avenue.
- Westside Trial Bureaus A & B
Located at the Westside Juvenile Facility. Responsible for prosecuting cases where the crime occurs west of Central Avenue.
- Adoptions Bureau
Represents adoptive parents in uncontested adoptions.
